" Small Slow and Weak "

Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán
Small slow and weak
maturing quickly
short-lived
snake-tongue flicks
sharp-pointed ribs
glands in the skin
tail lashing
running fast
flipping onto backs
inhibiting attacks
smooth-skinned aquatic
well-adapted
expandable vocal sacs
absorbent seat patches
baggy lymph glands
defensive strategies
signaling toxicity
our young emerging from strings
while filter feeding
as mottled species...
